Once your Sony® BRAVIA® LCD HDTV or Organic LED TV is at home, you will need to install it and connect the various sources. This is easier than you think. There are two ways to go:
- Use your retailer's delivery on installation service.
- Set it up yourself.
Placement: Stands vs. Mounting.
When determining placement for your HDTV or Organic LED TV, consider the height at which the TV will be displayed. It may be different than the TV it is replacing. It is also important to note that since LCD and Organic LED technologies offer wider viewing angles, up to 178°, you can be more flexible with your seating setup. This means that whether you are sitting in front of or beside the TV, you’ll always have a great view. When choosing between wall mounting and stands for supporting your LCD television, be sure to use ones that are qualified for use with your TV. Each is sold separately and depends on the type of TV.
To assure the highest quality for your HD experience, use Sony® HDMITM (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) cables. Sony HDMI cables meet the highest standards for transmission of digital, highdefinition video and audio signals, for a superior viewing experience. The crisp signals originating from your TV set-top box, Blu-ray DiscTM player or PLAYSTATION®3 are transmitted directly through the HDMI cables into your HDTV with minimal effects on signal quality. Note the number of HDMI inputs and other connections on the Sony TV or 1080p A/V Receiver of your choice. For further details, refer to the Sony owner’s manual, which will also include tips to optimize your Sony flat-panel television settings the way you want them.
