It features the capability to record up to four channels of high quality audio for clear, distinct voices and life-like sounds. It also features three switchable recording modes to for a variety of different shooting situations
The ECM-HQP1 is designed to connect to your compatible Handycam camcorder's Active Interface Shoe, allowing you to control its functions through the camcorder's touch panel LCD. It is powered by the camcorder, so there is no need for a separate battery.

What are Accidental Damage from Handling service plans?
Accidental Damage from Handling Protection (ADH) plans offer the same benefits as the Regular Extended Service Plans but gives the added benefit of repairing or replacing your Sony product when it malfunctions due to breakdowns that occur from handling the product under normal operating conditions.
This Service Plan includes all parts, labor and shipping costs in its coverage to make sure your Sony product is repaired and delivered back to you without any out-of-pocket costs. Coverage begins on the date you purchased the product and runs concurrently with the Limited Warranty.
Why add your Extended Service Plan today?
Extended Service Plans run concurrently with the Limited Warranty so the later you purchase the Service Plan, the less coverage you will receive. Adding your Service Plan today ensures confidence in full product protection and entitles you to value pricing. Also, select Extended Service Plans are only offered at the time of product purchase. Plans that must be added on at the time of model purchase include any accidental damage from handling plans. These Service Plans are not offered for stand-alone purchase and cannot be purchased after you have bought your product.
Also, purchasing Extended Service Plans at a later date requires a valid proof of purchase and are only available within the first 6 months of your product purchase.
