The Rolly™ Sound Entertainment Player is truly multi-faceted. It plays music. It dances. It's an expression of your personality and how you hear your music. At its core, the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player is a robotic device that plays back music and can be programmed to dance to any of the music uploaded to it. In addition, it is a fun device to discover. Rather than looking at a screen to play music, there are different motions that you use to change the song, raise the volume and make it dance. With its Bluetooth® capability3 you can play music wirelessly from other devices such as your mobile phone or PC.
Stream music from your PC directly to the Rolly for your listening enjoyment.
Store up to 515 songs
With the Rolly Choreographer Ver. 1.0 software create your own motions and share them with friends online.
Play music without losing sound quality because of the directional characteristics that convey the shape of sound by using the reflection of the ground.
Supports playback of MP3 and AAC files.
Switch the play mode from normal to shuffle just by shaking the Rolly several times when the side light is orange
Rolly analyzes the music and creates motion automatically when no motion is programmed into it.
Plays music with low power, hight output and high quality
The internal battery provides up to 5 hours continuous music or 4 hours of music and motion playback for your enjoyment.
Share motions you created with others via the Internet. Upload motions you created and download motions that others created using the Rolly Choreographer Ver. 1.0 software.
The Rolly Choreographer Ver. 1.0 software will automatically analyze the song and create motion based on the music.
Creates high quality music playback.

I first heard about Rolly from a friend and i was amazed by the idea of a dancing robot, yet when i saw rolly i was dissapointed, because all i saw was an oval object spinning back and forth. I agree that it is more interesting than a normal mp3 player but only for 1-2 minutes, after that i totally lost interest about it. And yes it can be an interesting decorative feature for a party yet I personally believe that it would be a much greater succes if it resembled the dancing movements of a humanoid.

It?s something knew that will wow your kids & friends, it moves & lights to music rhythm, if you don?t mind the Price tag an kneed a pair of wireless speakers for your cell than definitely get one Cons You can stream music from your phone or play it from the on board memory thru the integrated Speakers But you can?t plug in headphones ?No 3.5 audio jack? and it does NOT support any tape of wireless Bluetooth Headphones or Bluetooth audio streaming from the Rolly to any other stereo Device I would think that Sony would come up with a firmware update that would allow the use Bluetooth headphones or stereo streaming

The only way this product would be interesting to a mass audience is if it was designed like a cool character or sorts. Can you imagine? Kids would love a dancing animal or robot (that could DO the Robot). The way is is now, it can't realistically capture the interest of the general populace)

Pros: Fun, Interesting, Intuitive, Creative
This device doesn't compare to anything else I've ever seen. The way it dances is so extravagantly awesome makes everyone who sees it smile. If you want a mp3 player just get yourself a walkman, but if you want the coolest conversation piece in the world, this is it. The software is a little bit complicated if you are a rookie with computing, but it is rewarding to learn it.
