Pros: Small, sharp looking, Great audio range, super bass
I bought these in the Tokyo airport on my way back to the USA. The ones I got were metallic red. (Wish they had them here.) Anyway, I love these. Very clear high notes and deep bass. I never expected this much performance in an ear bud. The in-ear seems weird at first, but the fit is very comfortable. Regular ear buds always shift and fall out of my ears. These stay even when jogging. Ambient noise is not completely blocked out (which is good) but it covers it up enough that outside noise doesn't bother me. The clear music sounds completely new again. I hear much more now. Best bang for the buck. I would put these against $300 "noise-cancelling" ear buds. Perfect for the traveller who doesn't want to lug 70's style headphones. Use the carry case. Mine broke in my brief case. The silver drum cracked where it connects to the colored part of the earbud. (Not Sony's fault)

Pros: Great sound, comfort and value
Cons: They didn't last and something came loose.
The sound is great for the price. Excellent range and base. I like the tweeter bass design with the earbuds, and they are very comfortable. Most usually end up hurting my ears after a long time, but with these no problem. These came with my walkman that I purchased over a year ago, paid more so i could get these. Unfortunately they broke after 11-12 months of use. I didn't drop them, they never really got tugged at. So that is very dissappointing for them to break. Seems like a wire came loose or something. Really sad, this might stop me from buying a pair if they are just going to break again. But they sound superb.

Pros: Nice sound with good bass and sensitivity. They fit well in the ear and stay there.
Cons: Nothing yet. I have not had much luck with the longevity of other earbuds. I will update.
I have had a number of earbud type earphones over the years and have never been completely satisfied with them. I have had other Sonys that sounded good but did not last. Usually one side went dead. I also had a set of Sennheiser CX300s. These have held up but the sound is sort of harsh and lacks bass. I have had trouble with both the Sennheiser and other Sonys staying in my ears. These new Sonys, however, sound wonderful with good bass and are easy to put in my ears and they stay there. So far so good. I will have to report back later on their longevity.
Pros: Good earphones for the money
Cons: MDR EX series known for cheap wiring
I've been searching for earphones for a very long time and i remembered i bought some MDR EX 7 series a few years ago the most dependable buds i had until the wiring came loose after months of jogging and getting tangled. Most recently I just returned the Apple in Ear Headphones that are worth 79 bucks due to a lack in base. I decided to go back to Sony's and upgrade to these after my long search that included Shure, Apple, bose, philips, and a few other unknowns. I am amazed by the clarity and the base these earphones provide. I'm listening to Beethovens Moonlight Sonata C Sharp Minor I and III, it is great. Vida la Vida sounds great and fallout boy too, good base, treble is present. Great for the price. Definitely for those looking for a good base with a nice balance.

I've had this product for 1-3 months
Pros: great fit - long term comfort
Cons: I can still hear everything around me
These buds are the best I have listened to so far. I am a long time Sony ear bud user. I have used Maxell, KOSS, and other brands. This bud surpasses all competition in faithful reproduction of sound without any coloration or boominess. I don't know how the EX700's could outperform these - except in sensitivity. If they would only block out external noise, they would be perfect.

Pros: Awsome sound, quite comfortable.
Cons: not the most durable buds out there.
So far these were the best earbuds Ive ever experienced. The highs are sharp and crisp, and the bass is balanced and deep. Only downside is the sound went out in one ear, wich i atribute to the cord cord connection. They only lasted me 8 months... it was 8 months of great sound everyday, but too bad there unusable now. I still would recomend these earbuds Id just say be careful with the cable as its somewhat fragle.
