I'm not that crazy about the mylo it's okay compare to other brands. What I don't like is that the internal memory is too small. I had to buy a memory card since I store a lot of music. Also, I don't like that it doesn't have a flash with the camera so I only take pictures when there is good lighting. I like that it has wifi, but it takes like 5-10 minutes sometimes to upload a page in the internet. I get frustrated so I hardly use the internet. The mylo looks cool to have from the way it looks, but don't buy on it. Needs more improvements.

I used my Sony mylo2 to record and upload a video log of a recent 10 day tour of Bavaria that I completed with my 21 yr old son. We used the video clips to keep the family updated back home of our daily activities. Unfortunately, free Wlan is not as prevalent in Europe as WiFi is in the States. But we were still able to post 80+ video clips relatively easily and painlessly to YouTube. Also, the Skype widget was great and made talking to family back in Pittsburgh easy (and FREE) when we could work out the time difference. The Sony Mylo2 worked exactly as I had hoped and exceeded all of my hopes and expectations!! I also Bookmarked the mobile versions of ESPN, CBS News and my work email so I was able to quickly keep up with events back home...LET'S GO PENS !!! Thanks Sony...my one and only!!!

Shoot Video...Now you're a star

Now you can capture video using the built in camera to capture video in MPEG4 in addition to capturing still images. There are many websites where you can upload photos and videos like Flickr™ and YouTube™ as well as social networking websites. A widget is a small application that is generally designed to do one simple thing but to do it really well. COM-2 comes with several pre-installed widgets that range from basic like the Google search widget and the Facebook® Notifier that tracks activity on your Facebook page to more advanced apps like the My Contacts widget that works as a consolidated buddy list for all the IM applications on the mylo. In addition to the preinstalled widgets COM-2 users will be able to download new widgets from the new COM-2 product website. And, for the first time, users will be allowed to register as a developer in order to gain access to the technical resources they will need to build their own widgets.

Music and Video

MP3, ATRAC, WMA (Secured and Un-Secured) and now AAC codecs. Play music you've purchased from many compatible online music stores. Multi-task: listen to music3 while you IM or surf the Web1. COM-2 also supports Windows Media DRM 10 so you can even use your mylo communicator with many popular subscription music services. The improved video player supports both MPEG4 along with the improved video quality of MPEG4 AVC.

Send and receive e-mail through AOL® Mail, Google Gmail™ and Yahoo!® Mail. And, with COM-2's new backlit keyboard you can type wherever you want to regardless of how much light is available.

Voice Calling with Skype®

Skype lets you enjoy free Internet phone calls to and from any Skype enabled device and PC, anywhere in the world! Or Skype-Out to any phone number for a nominal fee.

Poor Browser

Pros: Look... Feel (You got feel it in hand.. Man) awesome. Sound/feel/top view.. Sony proved it again...

Cons: Browser, Size, weight, Very little RAM

Browser does not work with any of the website. Each click that you do inside YouTube, opens the new window leads for system crash (in 3 browser). Basically tested for You tube only. Really big in size weighing heavy... Pros: - Look... Feel (You got feel it in hand.. Man) awesome. Sound/feel/top view.. Sony proved it again...

Pros: functions, looks, size

Cons: range of wi-fi confined to home and hotspots

I just got my mylo and I like it, I bought one for myself and my girlfriend who lives in another country. I figured it would be a good way to save on my phone bill. After reading so of the reviews I sold on it. The one thing I do agree with is that it would be nice if it had a wi-fi adapter so it could be use outside the home and away from hot spots the would really make it a good product. Other than that I love the thing.

Need improved

The design for the mylo is good, but the updates for the widgets are so slow, so how can this internet device competes with the itouch? So, if the mylo want to lead the market, the widgets should be improved dramatically.

Improving the Mylo

Pros: Camera/video/music

Cons: Clicking problems on website

i am doing this review on my mylo. Overall the mylo is wonderful device. In the next generation of mylo i would suggest that, just like a laptop has a wireless network adapter which it uses to pick up wireless signals within the area the mylo she have one instead of relying on a wireless connection in your house. When i leave my house i cant use the mylo because i am not in range with my wireless connection and i have no internet unless i am close by a hotspot and i am hardly by any of them so i awould consider something like a wireless adapter so regardless the mylo is connected. The only problem i have with the camera is the fact that it should have a flash by it to brigthen the pictures when their is not enough light. The mylo has computer features but on a laptop or computer i can go on miniclips.com or shockwave.com to play games online. The mylo doesnt have that feature and as a handheld computer it should. Another thing the mylo should have is on a laptop you can download anything and play it or use it to open documents etc. You cant do that with the mylo because the files is insopported. for ex. i went online to try and see the bus schedule and in order for me to see it i needed the adobe reader which i download on the mylo. But i was unable to install it to check the bus schedule. When i tried to the mylo told me that it was unsopported. I believe that the mylo should have more features like a laptop. Hopfully sony will send an update for this review that i made i can work without the flash on the camera. To make the mylo an unstoppable. The wonderful thing the mylo offers is the fact that you can do the exact samething as a cellphone the only thing is its better than a cellphone. And their are no bills.
