Pros: Capacity
Cons: Too high - Sony should have gone wider

Just missed out on buying/keeping this - and very disappointed. The height of the unit exceeds my FIXED shelves on my massive Plasma/audio stand by about 1-1.5 inches. I wish Sony would have reduced the height requirement and added to the width if the needed room for boards, etc.

I bought the BDP-CX960 for two weeks now and like it a lot. The only thing I disappointed is that this unit is not Netflix streaming device ready. I am a netflix member but can not utilize this player to stream the instance movies. I am considering to return it and purchase the Samsung BD-P4600 which has the Netflix streaming enable. I hope Sony will have a firmware update soon to support streaming technology so I don't have to buy multiple devices. Last thing I wish is that the movie pictures can be zoomed in like Netflix instance streaming so you can see it clear.

Pros: Finds tittle etc. automaticly
Cons: Requires higher self space than most B/D players
This is one of the most satisfing itms I have ever bought. My 400 DVD changer is still excellent but this machine exceded my expectations. Just drop in your B/D or DVD and the machine finds the tittle, cover art work, etc. automaticly. The sorting system is great. you can find any tittle or genre etc. quickly. If the 9.5 inch high profile is a problem then modify your shelf space. It is worth it to acommadate this machine. You will save all the shelf space that the cases of the B/Ds took up.

Pros: Auto load movie title from Gracenote Database
Cons: Size of unit
I currently own a Sony DVP-CX995V 400 Disc DVD Mega-changer and with the addition of the BDP-CX960, I barely have room in my BDI cabinet for any other components. My only concerns or wish list is in the next firmware update is to expand picture jacket icons at least 50% whilst browsing BD disc/title/information. One other request to backup BD title and slot information to external memory. FYI: Sonystyle website specification claims that the ?Service and Warranty? has a ?Limited Warranty Term : 5 Years?. In the box of my unit it is Limited Warranty Term : 1 Year. No, I?m not confusing the specs with the BDP-CX7000ES.

Hi avory. I just wanted to thank you for posting and for bringing the Limited Warranty to our attention. Just so you and other people know, the warranty is 1 year and not the 5 years listed in the specs. Thanks again and we will make sure to get this corrected.

Pros: all sounds great...
Cons: ...until you see the size measurements
I probably own around 50 Sony products, including 3 400-disc changers (DVP-CX985V, DVP-CX995V, CDP-CX455). These fit perfect in my entertainment center, which has about 9 slots. All of them measure 9" high. Guess what I've been longing for while accumulating 160+ Blu-ray discs? -- a 400 disc Blu-ray changer! Guess who won't be getting $800 of my hard earned money - Sony. I agree with the first poster, how hard is it to take the form factor from your original changers and update it for Blu-ray? You are going to have a LOT of consumer sales lost because of the height. Shame on the design team - except for the one guy at the meetings who probably disagreed but nobody listened to. Next time try some customer focus groups.

Pros: 400 Disk storage Blu-Ray Network Updates Fimware and titles
Cons: Price
I have been waiting for a while to add this changer to my entertainment system. I have the dvp-cx985 for dvd's for 4 years and have been buying blu-ray for 2 years since I got my 60gig ps3. Bought a BDP-S301 1.5 years ago A far as size yes it is taller. If you exclude the display area they are the same size...... so I see why Sony did increase the height ...to add better diplay info. Yes the display is much better than before. I have a open pedistal so this increase in height is not an issue for me. My only compaint would be .. I hope sony in the future will allow us to search for the Gracneote title to use. I have a Pirates of the Caribean title that came back Spanish. I have 3 other blu-ray disks that I am sure they are in gracenote but I had to manualy add the info. I guess the video tag is not valid..... who knows. I kinda like the album search in Windows Media player hope to have something similar.. Out of 65 blu-ray only 4 movie title issues.

Pros: Great price
Cons: None
After years of dealing with the DVP-CX995V's inability to display titles correctly, Sony has answered my prayers and delivered to us the BDP-CX960 at an affordable cost. Timing could not have been better for me because I have exactly 399 DVD's, and was ready to make the leap to Blu-Ray. I will be purchasing an additional changer in the next 30 days.

Pros: Now I can load all my BD disks into 1 unit
Cons: The es is more than 2x the 960
I have a 985 and a 995, now I really need the rack so I can mount all three units. Now I need a new laser for my 301.
