Pros: Seamless integration with Bravia TV
Cons: Fingerprints, needs more HDMI inputs
Initially I was disappointed to only have one HDMI input, seeing how much an effort it was to run cable through the walls, I was hoping to just have 1 HDMI cable for all. So it's not a true receiver. I had resigned myself to being able to use all the speakers only for blu-ray. I was pleasantly surprised when switching to satellite, that the TV said "switching to external audio" and pumped the beautiful HD audio into this system. Woo hoo! Now I don't a receiver and the sound is awesome. The auto-volume setting is handy although I think it tends to set the sub volume a little hither than I prefer. All in all, especially since I picked this up at the warehouse sale, this was a helluva deal and will be a good stand-in until we start upgrading our HT...

Pros: Looked and sounded great in the store
Cons: I hope this is not indicative of the quality of Sony products
My wife and I were looking for a sound system to go with our new XBR tv, we chose this system because of the quality of sound and the bravia link. We bought it from Best Buy took it home and set it up in about an hour... It powered up fine but when set to BD the screen said please wait, and an hour later it still said please wait. I could never get the disc tray to open, even after using the troubleshooting guide in the manual. Other functions worked fine... Thank God Best Buy has an excellent return policy... Also as far as value right now you can buy a Sony DVD home theater system with S-Air for less than $400, add a blueray player for another $199, so now were at less than $600... This system retails at $799, it seems a bit overpriced... We are now really thinking about getting another brand of sound system.

Pros: Integrated to TV with HDMI Connection, Sounds Amazing
Cons: Slightly Expensive, Gets me in trouble with my neighbors :)
A fantastic unit that handles anything you can throw at it. I Recommend getting a Bravia Sync capable TV, makes it VERY simple to use.

Pros: Fantastic sound quality and easy to install,
Cons: Sometimes "muting" locks and needs to be repowered
Bought this system to go with new plasma TV because of integrated Bluray. It rocks. It was easy (admittedly I am good with electronics) to install and the wireless speakers keep the room clean while still delivering great sound. A little bit more than I had wanted to pay but factoring in BluRay vs standard DVD it is a good deal. The only complaint is that when changing functions it occasionally locks on mute by itself and you have to turn it off and on again before you can use the new function. Other than that, I am very happy and am loving the detail that this system can bring to DVD or live TV.
