Pros: Added microphone, lighter feel from the 2000, customizable skins from the PlayStation Website, Ratchet & Clank game.
Cons: Removal of the glossy exterior, "TFT" lines when you scroll.
The latest version of the PlayStation Portable is great redesign from previous models. The screen features an improved contrast ratio, giving deeper blacks and brighter whites, but this new screen comes at a price. If you've owned an old TFT screen or a Tube type TV, then you'll know that there are horizontal lines that flash across the screen when something is moving in fast motion. This does not appear in games and videos, but you'll notice it when you're scrolling through the XMB. Another favorable feature is the "Wide Color" option. This enables videos and games to give off more vibrant colors, but it also gives of an annoying "yellowish green hue" on the XMB. This is barley noticeable. Something I personally did not like is the removal of the glossy coating. On the PSP 1000 and 2000, you'll notice that there is a shiny plastic coating that makes the PSP more smooth and expensive looking. The 3000 does not have that coating, but makes the PSP lighter when held. Overall, the PSP 3000 is a great companion to people constantly on the move.

I've had this product for 6-12 months
Pros: light
Cons: Sony brand
I am not satisfied with this PSP that I bought in 10/15/2008, my son seldom use it because he likes to play the Nintendo DS more. It started hanging-up a month ago, the UMD cover is not durable as well. Not alot of games to choose from.

Pros: Remote play, UMD movie playback, popular game titles, hd-like video quality, mp3/wma playback, etc
Cons: THE BROWSER!!!
I like alomst everything about it except for the browser. The browser is practically useless. You can't really access your e-mail acounts, you can't even watch videos on Youtube, You can't really open sites that needs Flash, or whatever apps. I hope it has a longer battery life too. Right now, it's just right. And, I almost always accidentally tap either the L or R button. They might need to do something about that. Well, I love how the UMD's are not really that expensive. I have the PSP headset too, so it's really nice just watching videos when you're in a long drive.
