Sharp, Clear Photos Without Flash
The DSC-T30 provides High Sensitivity Mode (ISO 1000) to let you shoot in low light without flash to preserve the mood or capture great shots in locations where flash is not permitted. Sony’s Clear RAW™ Noise Reduction system also counters the picture noise traditionally associated with high ISO imaging -- and with Sony’s Super SteadyShot® system to compensate for camera shake, you’ll be able to get great results with a wide range of subjects and lighting conditions.
3.0”1 Clear Photo™ LCD Plus Screen
With its Clear Photo™ LCD Plus design, the large 3.0”1 screen of DSC-T30 gives you a big, bright image that makes it easy to set up shots, share results and read menus even in bright sunlight.
High-Stamina InfoLithium® Rechargeable Battery
A supplied NP-FR1 InfoLithium® rechargeable battery lets you shoot up to 420 pictures3 on a full charge, recharges quickly and easily, and shows you about how much shooting time remains.

Super SteadyShot® Optical Image Stabilization

With 58 MB Internal Memory, the DSC-T30 allows you to shoot photos without a flash memory card -- so you can always get your shot even if you forgot your card. From internal memory, you can easily transfer your images to Memory Stick Duo™ or Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media, upload to your computer or make prints on your digital printer.

14X Smart Zoom™ Feature4
Sony's Smart Zoom feature lets you magnify your subject beyond the 3x optical zoom - to 3.6x (5MP), 4.5x (3MP), even 14x (VGA). By intelligently cropping into the central portion of the scene, it avoids the image distortion of other digital zooms.
MPEG Movie VX Fine Mode
The DSC-T30 can capture VGA (640 x 480) audio/video clips at high frame rate (up to 30 frames per second6), with length limited only by the capacity of your media.

- Based on the CIPA battery life standard, shooting in normal mode at JPEG Fine picture quality shooting at 30-second intervals, with flash used for every other shot and power turned off/on after every 10 shots. Actual battery life may vary based on usage patterns.
- Smart Zoom® feature will not work at highest resolution setting.
- Not all products with USB connectors may communicate with each other due to chipset variations.
- Shooting at high frame rate of up to 30 frames per second requires Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media.
