7th Generation Sony® LCD Panel
The Sony® BRAVIA® S-Series uses the world’s first 7th generation Sony LCD panel for truly matchless image quality and performance. Specially crafted at the S-LCD plant, these panels are produced from the world’s biggest mother glass to efficiently create large, high quality panels. The 1 Mega Pixel HD display (1366 x 768) that is used offers an astounding 178 degree viewing angle, very fast response times and a spectacular contrast ratio.
Light Sensor
Intelligently adjusts the screen brightness to match the ambient light in a room, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience. In a dim room for example the screen automatically reduces brightness making it much more comfortable for viewing.
WEGA GATE™ User Guide
Explore and navigate your Sony® BRAVIA® television effortlessly with the WEGA GATE user guide. You can easily change your settings or access your favorite TV channels and external inputs. Simply touch the WEGA GATE button on the remote control to activate the comprehensive graphic menu. Your eyes remain on the screen instead of searching in the dark for tiny buttons on the remote control.
SRS® TruSurround® Audio
TruSurround audio delivers a full and immersive virtual surround sound experience from any two-speaker playback system using any multi-channel audio source. Six discrete channels of digital audio are processed into just two channels and delivered over two speakers giving the listener a completely immersive experience and the sensory perception that they are surrounded by additional “phantom” speakers.
1-Chip Video Processor
BRAVIA® S-Series LCD televisions use a full-digital, 1-chip video processor for crisp and clear images. Several unique picture enhancement technologies are integrated into the processor to create better gradations and details, enhance contrast, dynamically improve color, and reduce image flicker.
Freeze Function
Sony’s Freeze Function is a useful function that allows you to freeze one screen while the other screen continues showing the program. This comes in handy when you want to copy a recipe, phone number, etc. that flashes too quickly across your screen. Simply touch the “Freeze” button on the remote control and copy the details down at your convenience.

Sony Bravia
I got this TV for my mother for christmas. It has a nice design and a great picture. However, the TV we got would not change channels on the remote or on the TV itself. We got a new remote from Sony but it still didnt change channels. So we took it back and got another one. HOWEVER, when we plugged in the TV and hooked up all the cables, it made a super loud dog whistle noise. It hurt my ears so bad and made them ring. If you want this TV go ahead and buy it but i would NOT recommend it.
