Works great with 3G and 3G Nano Models
Pros: Allows connection to audio receiver with on-screen interface and remote control operation.
Cons: None
I've been using this docking station for several months and it works great. I prefer its interface to the receiver's. Had to find the right cases for my 3G and 4G Nano models to fit correctly. Charges both 3G and 4G nano models.

TDM-IP1 Review
Pros: plays music, reliable
Cons: very basic interface, no iPod movie options
This iPod/Sony accessory is ok. It certainly works by playing my music through my Sony surround station, but it lacks the ability to play my iPod movies on my TV. Also, the interface is very basic. You'd think that Sony would have a much nicer interface to use. I suppose it has the basic functions needed (it does play songs) but I would expect much more functionality. I don't really see the difference between using this dock, and component jacks (minus the controller). Plus, with the Comp. Jacks you'd get video. I hope that Sony upgrades this (staying with the DMP) to something more in line with the year 2009. (Maybe an hdmi output for iPod movies??)

Works fine with IPhone and DG520
Pros: Works as expected
Cons: No video through DMP
I bought this for my STR-DG520 and all my ipods incl. the iphone. While the clerk did not know if either my DG520 or the iphone would work, I can confirm that both do work indeed. The iphone complains that this "device" is not compatible with the iphone (and does can't handle the "phone" part), it works fine with the iphone switched into ipod mode (the main reason I wanted it. Simply ignore the error message on the iphone and touch the ipod icon). I am not 100% video should work through the DMP, it does not (possibly the 520 can't handle this). It works fine through the included video cable, though. The playlists etc. of all my ipods show on the screen and work just fine.

It's what I needed...
The only short coming I can see is that this attachment doesn't allow video from your ipod. That is not a real concern for me because I have all my cd's on my ipod and this attachment plays all my cd's with great sound. It also displays the ipod menu on the TV screen which is just awesome. It's what I needed...
