Stay connected with the VGP-UPR1 docking station. Compatible with several VAIO® notebook models, this docking station is perfect for the constant traveler or mobile professional. Featuring a VGA port, four USB ports, ethernet port, headphone and microphone ports, you can easily connect all of your peripherals such as a monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer and/or network cable. An AC adapter is also included to power the docking station.

NOT compatible with the notebooks listed
Pros: Very portable
Cons: Limited compatibility
Do your research on this product! Even though a list of notebooks that are compatible are made available there is no mention that it will only work on certain operating systems. Windows 7 Professional is NOT supported.

Marginal Docking Station
Pros: Fairly versatile
Cons: No embedded power, cables, No GigE
While I like the VAIO as a notebook over my previous Dell, the Dell docking station has it all over the VAIO. You still need an external power cable to plug in and there is a limitation to 100 Base T instead of Gigabit Ethernet. This is still a helpful docking station to a point, but not a TRUE docking station.
