Great Portable Player
Pros: Good Picture Quality, Long Battery Life, It's a Sony
Cons: Poor MP3 playback options, Glossy top prone to scratches
I bought this a year ago, and still satisfied. Only now i'm replacing it because I saw that the new FX930 models out. It has everything you would expect from a portable DVD player, but with Sony quality. A couple of Cons which stick out of my mind with the unit: Poor MP3 playback options. When you put in a disc with MP3s, it lists them on the screen, but you don't get options to organize tracks in some way using the ID3 tags - not even a Shuffle option! You have to fast forward one by one. (Not easy when you have hundreds of tracks). Also, the glossy top cover is very prone to scratches. Be VERY careful when taking this out, or even handling it. Accidents happen, so pay attention where you put at home, or put it in a bag or something when taking it out. (It's nice to see the new FX930 has a matte cover).

Excellent product
I've got this product for my 2 year old and we just loved. We've traveled with it more than 20 times (airplane, car, train) and is still perfect. A little bit expensive but "it's a sony"...

Best Portable DVD Player
Pros: Love what I can do with it as far as CD' DVD &even slide shows.
Cons: Haven't found any yet. Sorry.........
I have ever bought. I take this everywhere with me and I find that the battery lasts as long as they claim. It's great to be able to take this player out and not have to worry about if there is a outlet and if I am careful I can get two movies out of one battery. I also like the looks. Great job Sony!!!!

Emergency TV
Pros: Bright full resolution picture; long battery life
Cons: Slider switch didn't work for audio in; more zoom choices to fill screen would be nice
I must admit I rarely play DVDs but the picture is great and is in full resoltion unlike the smaller models. I wanted a low power emergency TV for when the power goes out. The first generation of digital portables have a poor picture, short battery life and off course the supplied analogue antenna is useless for digital. I hooked the player to one of the "free" digital to analogue converters which runs at 6V and uses little current. The combination works great; a beautiful TV picture (7.5 h battery when no motor use or sound out) and easily connects to a UPS or 12V sealed battery with DC/DC converter. I now have a TV that will run for days if/when we have a power cut plus a great DVD player for long trips.

Great product
I wanted a portable DVD player for my sewing room. I looked at many brands and finally read a consumer report and this model was the highest rated for dependability, picture quality and battery life. All others seemed to quit working after 3 months and only had a battery life of 1.5 - 2 hours. I purchased it on the recommendation of the consumer report and am totally satisfied with this product. It meets my needs perfectly. It has a very clear picture, is light weight, comes with AC and car adapter. I am looking forward to taking it on trips.

Great Value
I bought this unit for my grandaughter. It was a great investment! The quality of the picture is outstanding. I am very happy with my purchase. I would defintely recommend this product.

Battery really lasts for 5.5 hours
Pros: long battery life, great picture
Cons: shell is not very strong
I am thrilled with the battery life. This DVD player saved me on a recent flight from Rome to the East Coast, USA. The only thing I don't like is that the outer shell is not as sturdy as it should be. My player slid into the back, hard plastic of the seat in front of me and the corner of the shell chipped. It did not affect the player in the least, and it would certainly not deter me from purchasing one of these. The red is beautiful!!
