I've had this product for 6-12 months
Pros: Great price, sounds and picture until today
Cons: Screen
I loved the TV when I got it, relying on Sony's known quality and durability of its products. Now after almost a year suddenly colored vertical lines started appearing on the screen. Contacted Sony Tech support, and was utlimately referred to a local service center. - I wonder how much the repair will cost, and how long will it take to be repaired. Just as I was planning to purchase a 52" for Christmas. :(

Pros: Great picture, ample hook ups
Cons: Durability, at leat with my unit- only 6 months!?
Had no problem with this tv at all! Loved the picture, sounds were great. Easy hook ups. No complaints. Until 6 months later..... almost to the date, when the picture was lost for good. Sound still works fine, but the picture will not show on any input, or any channel. I'll be getting another and just hope that it works better.

Pros: High quality image, attractive design
Cons: Outdated and badly implemented features, lots of heat output
It's an all around good display, but a sour point for me is how difficult it is to connect it to a computer. There is one dedicated composite port for audio to work with only the first HDMI input, making it impossible to simply connect my MacBook to its HDMI/PC-Audio ports. Also, for some bizarre reason it has an ancient VGA port instead of a DVI port. Poor form considering Sony's usual standard of quality.

Pros: i love sony
Cons: sony rocks
The top brand in the house is sony. I love that company. So I got the TV from my dad for Christmas and the TV was amazing. The HD is beautiful I LUV this TV. You can plug your computer to it and it is great. The TV is a pretty slim TV and It's not like the slimmest but it's really good. Let me tell 6you the story of why we got this TV. We went to the store and we were looking at TV's we saw an OK Toshiba and we were going to get it but then my dad saw the Panasonic TV and he was going to buy it and the Toshiba was out of the picture. Then I saw a marvelous beauty which was this Tv I saw it and I told my dad that this was the TV I wanted and we asked a person there and he said that SOny WAZZZ better than PANASONIC. I recomend this TV I give it 20,000,000 stars. SONY RULES THE HOUSE

Pros: Excellent experience
Cons: None that I can think of... maybe lack of longer sleep timer option haha
I bought this tv for my bedroom, my head is about 10 feet from the tv. I previously had a 32" Samsung in its place that I paid almost double for, the Sony outperforms it easily. I have my Playstation 3 hooked up through a Monster HDMI cable and the tv picks up the 1080p signal. All Blu- ray movies I have watched on it look amazing as well as the games I play. Broadcast and over the air High Definition looks good too. If you are considering an upgrade from a traditional(tube) tv or an additional tv this is a great choice. I cannot say enough about Sonys quality, the cheaper brands do not stand a chance.

Pros: Fantastic picture quality that rivals much pricier models
Cons: Lack of useful 'ZOOM' functions for letterboxed programming and DVDs
It's hard to believe that this is a 'value' priced TV set. It makes one wonder how good the picture quality on Sony's pricier models could be, when this one is so outstanding. Watching even standard-definition DVDs is a revelation- they look almost three-dimensional. I see no compromise in picture quality here- contrast is excellent ( I use the 'custom' picture settings, but reduced the sharpness to '8', noise reduction 'off' color temp to 'neutral', brightness to '49' and I left the picture at '80' and color at '50'). Make sure to turn Cinemotion to "auto" to properly detect film-based programming. The sound is also excellent thru the built-in speakers. I also like the black-satin frame- very classy and understated. My only beef with this set are the ZOOM functions (or lack thereof). There are only two options to zoom in on letterboxed programming or DVDs (non-anamorphic widescreeen). The "full' option just stretches the image horizontally and makes everything wider and distorted. 'Wide Zoom' is a bit better- but still distorts the picture, and doesn't present the letterboxed image at the correct height. It really makes me wonder what the designers of this TV were thinking- the two zoom options are so similar, and yet there's no option for cropping/zooming a letterboxed image without distortion. If you have a proper zoom funtion on your DVD player, it's a non-issue, but that still won't help with letterboxed TV programming. However, this is still a great TV with great picture quality- and I guess that's the most important thing.
