AMAZING!!!
Pros: Size, Weight, Design, Performance, Battery, Keyboard, Glamour
Cons: Mediocre webcam, No backlit keyboard
I love this machine. It's been 29 entire days of nothing but awesome performance, quality, and everything. The design definitely stands out and draws much attention. The new power button looks very sleek and the Z is very lightweight. It's worth every penny. I had the SZ before this one. The Z seems to build on that one, with many great improvements. Unlike the SZ, you can actually switch between "Stamnia" and "Speed" WITHOUT restarting the computer. The Stamina function witht the Maximum Battery setting is amazing! The battery actually CAN last longer than 6 hours. Also, the keyboard is much quieter and looks outstanding. Everyone always says Sony stole the "chiclet key" keyboard from Apple, but it's actually the other way around. Sony has been using this since 2003, whereas Apple first used it in 2006. Also, they've added an SD card slot, so you don't need an adapter. They've moved the fan vent to the side, and the notebook never gets hot. You can truly use this on your lap, unlike many others. As for the price, sure, it's a little expensive. You could probably find the same things cheaper, but it's worth the extra cash. This notebook is amazing and you won't find anything that's this small and this glamourous. And besides, you won't see every single person carrying it around like every other notebook, you'll be one of the few. One thing I would have liked to see on the Z, is a backlit keyboard and a better webcam. They've used the same horrible webcam thats in all their other VAIOs, which is pretty disappointing. But other than that, its basically the best thing I've seen thus far. I've been EXTREMELY happy with my purchase since day one.

- GB means one billion bytes when referring to hard drive capacity. Accessible capacity may vary. A portion of hard disk space is reserved as a recovery partition.
