This touch-screen display with Gesture Command gives you control via simple, on-screen finger movements. Commonly used commands such as ‘take me home’ may be accessed by gesturing an inverted ‘V’ on the screen versus paging through numerous menu screens.
Using integrated Bluetooth®5 Wireless technology with included microphone, focus on the road ahead instead of your phone. By pairing your Bluetooth-enabled phone to your nav-u™ portable satellite navigation system you can make and receive calls on the go.
Using the Sony-unique Super Suction Cup, mounting a nav-u portable satellite navigation system to either the dashboard, console, or windshield in virtually any vehicle is quick and easy. Stable and secure while driving, the nav-u portable satellite navigation system can be easily removed whenever you want to take it with you.
The NV-U94T comes pre-loaded with map content covering North America. Enjoy powerful, portable navigation out of the box.
Step away from standard GPS mapping and towards a more complete navigation solution. Real Time Traffic Information radio reception allows the NV-U94T to constantly monitor relevant traffic conditions and provide re-route options to guide you around trouble spots.
Dual view capability displays dynamic route information, in addition to the conventional map view, to provide an even clearer view of what’s at the next turn or in a highway merge scenario, which junction to take.
Even if GPS signals are temporarily interrupted, such as when driving in a tunnel, the nav-u™ NV-U94T will help keep you on track. Position Plus uses multiple sensors to monitor your position relative to the map, so you can continue without worry of losing your way.
TTS helps eliminate second-guessing when making a turn; the device utilizes spoken commands ensuring you are able to follow the directions by street names.

I've had this product for 1-2 years
Pros: None
Cons: Every thing
Entering a address is harder than ever in a GPS devise. More than 50% of address is not programmed. Very latest experince route 202 in La-colle, QC. Its not there... its not only one..... tons.. Vey very poor or not at all trafic information. on July 15 2009 I was driving from Montrial to Val-Morin. On the 15 North It was blocked for kilometres. I didn't know that. On the trafic information (on route)its not found. Not on route it has some other information. Obviouly trafic info is subbed & its working at that region... I strugged on trafic for 3 hours. Rerouting also didn't show the closest route.... Samething July 6 2009 from Niagra falls to Ajax, ON. On the way there was an exit closed. I passed the exit & rerouting there was a huge traffic jam. Both information was not in "On route" What a dissapointment. It doesn't play any jpeg pics even taken by sony camera. video files playing very poor. picture jamms. not sync with audio & video. It plays mp3 files.

I've had this product for 1-3 months
Pros: Gestures is great, Display awesome
Cons: Routes, Rout Calc, speaker, and maps.
I will keep this short. I have owned several GPS system through out the years. Sony's GPS features a very good, but falls short in many other areas. Very poor route planning, route recalculation, poor speaker volume, not very user friendly when entering addresses (as compared to Garmin, Tom Tom) Lacks many older roads in NC and SC. To keep it short, this isn't a good purchase. I don't like Tom Tom either, Garmin is top's. The Sony gestures, blue tooth, photo's, music, etc. are great features but if it doesn't perform the basic functions well then why purchase it.

I've had this product for 6-12 months
Pros: Realiable, easy to read screen
Cons: Poor route planning even with NVD-U21N updates!!!
The NV-94T plans routes poorly. It often takes me on routs that are miles longer than they should be. It doesen't seem to matter which route plan it is set to. On Cape Cod it always would take me over the Bourne Bridge only to put me back on the Sagamore, for example. The Magellan unit I had before had much better route planning however it kept crashing making it useless. The Sony is realiable but lacks good route planning. The NVD-U21N update did not improve route planning.

I purchased mine at a Sony Outlet Store. 80% of my work day is driving so this comes in real handy. I love all of the features (touchscreen, bluetooth, etc.). Once you read the manual... it's VERY user friendly!

Pros: Everything it just works and works well
Cons: Blue tooth can be crackly at times
I have in the last month tried 8 different gps models with screens ranging from 3.5 all the way up to 4.8 And yes i went out and bought 8 units and tested them all at the same time my dash and windshield was loaded of those units the NV-U94T was the only one i found to be justifiably acceptable the others went back . the features are fantastic and the directions are both clear and precise i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit

Pros: Great all around product
Cons: Screen is not OLED
Best GPS I have used and it has converted some of my friends to purchase it themselves after showing the many features. Simply a great product love the hands free phone and movie options cant beat it for the discounted price. Wish the screen was OLED but it shows a great picture as well.

Pros: It works perfect far better than garmin, tomtom magellean
Cons: That you have to go to the Sony website to get the PC apps. software. Why don't they pack the software with the GPS..
This thing will do it all, better than any GPS that I have ever bought. It's quick and reliable i haven't been given a wrong turn at all, unlike garmin and tom tom. When you need to turn this thing will tell you to turn NOW. It does this at the moment not a second late or one street early, but early enough to make the turns safely. i think nobody wants to be the idiot who drives crazy because there GPS is slow. This GPS will give you a street level split screen and aerial screen when a turn is approaching. I would buy a Sony GPS again if they keep up the good work.
