Pros: Picture Quality
Cons: None
The picture quality is so AMAZING that it literally mesmerizes me when I watch it. The colors are SO rich and vibrant. It will stimulate your senses. I thought my Panasonic Viera plasma was great, but it is nothing compared to the XBR7. If you are love a super clear and amazingly rich and vibrant TV picture - look no further. NFL football in HD - WOW! The picture is so clear that it makes you want to touch the screen. It makes me smile spontaneously. I hooked up DirecTV to it and I think it helped the image (over Cox cable). Sound is fine for a normal speaker bar (I have never raised it even over halfway). This is BY FAR the best TV I have ever seen. Go for it!

Couldn't wait for the first 240hz from Sony. I've always enjoyed Sony tube tv's and would stand behind any of their old products. Bought this before they were on display in most stores. Only had the XBR6 as a reference. This has the worst side angle view EVER. Face tones are so (overexpose) for lack of a better word. Tried all settings. It used to be the XBR seires was ALWAYS the top of the line. NOT true for the newer one's. They have left out the PRo Bravia engine on most XBR models which was almost a standanrd with XBR. VERY UNHAPPY and would not recommed. Samsung is the way to go. .

This TV is great in most aspects (Image, motionflow, advanced features, looks, etc). The only problem I've found is that the sound is somewhat weak and there is a echo that gets really noticeable if you have a sound system on. I tried to adjust delays on my speakers and still there is a slight delay between the TV own sound and the stereo. So, every time I play a movie I turn the TV volume off and crank the stereo's Other than that this TV delivers and provides you with features very well advance.

It's also outfitted with a powerful BRAVIA Engine™ 2 fully digital video processor that renders stunning images from any resolution. 16:9 Full HD 1080p resolution panel (1920x1080) accepts any HDTV signal and renders it with optimum resolution, so you can take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc™ players and PlayStation®3 entertainment systems that can deliver 1080p content.
BRAVIA Engine™ 2 fully digital video processor uses a collection of unique Sony® algorithms to significantly reduce noise, enhance overall image detail, and optimize contrast so every scene produces sharp, vibrant, life-like images.
Live Color Creation™ technology works in combination with a special WCG-CCFL backlight to refine colors and deliver a more realistic picture.
24p True Cinema™ mode provides a direct connection to 24p video sources, avoiding conversions and allowing users to enjoy films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) cinematic picture quality when using a 24p-capable output device, such as a Blu-ray Disc™ player or PlayStation®3 entertainment system.

Using both a 10-bit processor and 10-bit panel allows for 64 times the level of color expression in 8-bit panels, resulting in smoother color transitions and helping to avoid giving the picture a “paint-by-numbers” look.
Dynamic Video Noise Reduction adaptive technology analyzes the motion, sharpness, and brightness of each scene in real time to identify various types of noise and reduce unwanted artifacts without compromising the video signal.
BRAVIA® Sync capability combines the one-touch access and control functionality of BRAVIA® Theatre Sync™ with the ability to control CEC-enabled Sony® Handycam® camcorders using the TV’s remote and an on-screen display.
The Sony® exclusive Xross Media Bar™ (XMB™) is a 2007 Emmy award-winning user interface that offers you a simple and intuitive way to navigate your television’s menus, controls, and user settings.
BRAVIA® XBR® 7-Series LCD HDTVs offer four HDMI™ inputs (up to 1080/60p capable) that transmit uncompressed digital video and multi-channel audio over one cable, as well as two HD component connections (1080/60p capable), giving you the flexibility you need to connect the latest video sources.
The piano gloss black finish and floating glass accent lend BRAVIA® XBR® 7-Series large screen HDTVs a distinctive designer feel.
The Sony® BRAVIA® KDL-52XBR7 gives you unprecedented motion detail in HD programming, movies, sports, and video games thanks to innovative Motionflow™ 240Hz technology. Motionflow™ 240Hz technology quadruples the frame rate of standard HDTVs and inserts three newly created frames in between standard frames, resulting in a crisp fluid motion that makes for a natural and realistic viewing experience.
Advanced Contrast Enhancer circuit (ACE) uses real-time image processing to dynamically improve contrast, resulting in deep blacks in darker scenes, as well as fine details in shadows and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see.
x.v.Color™ technology takes HDTV color expression to new levels. When connected to x.v.Color capable video sources, such as select Sony® camcorders, BRAVIA® XBR® 7-Series HDTVs can display nearly twice as many (1.8x) viewable colors as the existing RGB color standard, resulting in more natural, life-like images.
The DIGITAL MEDIA PORT connection allows the use of an optional DIGITAL MEDIA PORT cradle to connect digital devices directly to your BRAVIA® HDTV so you can enjoy photos, videos, or music stored on your Sony® Walkman™ player, and other digital devices such as select iPod® players, PCs, and mobile phones.
Bring your photos to life and enjoy highly detailed, Full HD 1920x1080p images with the PhotoTV HD mode. PhotoTV HD fine-tunes settings on your BRAVIA® XBR® 7-Series HDTV, such as sharpness, gradation, and color to display images that more closely match the look of printed photographs.
Favorites and Photo Slideshow functions feature rich 3D graphics that make it easy and fun to quickly access video content and digital photos to share with family and friends -- just use the colorful thumbnail images to access your favorite content. You can also select any of the useful and fun Photo Slideshow effects.
VESA® compatible hole spacing uses an industry-standard mounting hole pattern that can be used with VESA-compliant mounting brackets, taking the guesswork out of selecting the proper hardware for hanging your TV on the wall.

Pros: great picture and good sound.
Cons: none
this is a great TV. the picture looks out of this world and when combined with a ps3, speachless. i also played a blu ray movie and you feel like youre in the movie. it also looks like you can touch the actors. great buy.
Pros: The picture quality
Cons: The design of th tv I think the XBR4 looked better more classy
this tv is amazing. the motion flow makes it look real. Even on the XBR4. The one thing i noticed on the XBR4 when the motion flow wason high there was a blur aroung fast moving objects. That was the only bad thing. It looks way better now. Sony makes the best tvs. My cousin is a Samsung fan but we allways argue about Sony and samsung. When i first got the XBR4 he was saying it was the best one there. But then he got his samsung for cheaper and said it looks better. That kid is brain washed. cant see the truth.

Pros: Best HDTV Technology available at a reasonable price.
The KDL52XBR has exeeded my expectations in all categories. Its color reproduction is beyond anything that I can imagine. Action and natural landscapes and closeups are the best I have seen. Sports action and white water flows are perfect. Closeups of moss on rock in early morning sunlight are so vivid and appear to have depth and texture - 3D.

"Hi all, I don't normally write reviews; not because I am against them [reviews] or because I don't find them helpful. I just don't remember too after buying the item. My Sony dream home theater and 52' Bravia are the exceptions. I have had both items for a year now and still find they excel against the competition. Picture quality is superb sound is excellent I live in a old Chicago 6 flat BRICK building and I can shake the roof from the first floor. In this economy this is the biggest bang for the buck. Enjoy and Rock on!!!!!!!"
