Good to go right out of the box. Easy to connect external cables, altho had to supply my own toslink cable for digital audio output to 6.1 home theater. Impressive 240Hz during sporting events. Excellent contrast and white to black edge transition. Menu selection takes extra effort, but does the job. Some over the top features but should make an excellent family tv.

I have had this tv for about a week, and compared to Samsung, Panasonic and LG tvs with internet connection, this one has the lead, However I find it Kind of limited and restricted to some internet contents, such as music videos and full length movies, the picture is Excellent, with color and tones very accurate, sound is OK, and performance is near perfect, I JUST CAN NOT FIND THE SLACKER INTERNET RADIO FEATURE, even when some specifications say it is available, price is not affordable for everyone,

I've wanting to buy a Sony LCD TV for some time now, unfortunately, I can't bring myself to buy one because of the ugly piano gloss finish on ALL of Sony's LCD TVs, except one model! I don't know what's the deal with Sony's designers, can't they tell what's good looking or not anymore???! At least Sony should give consumers a choice, instead of making all with the glossy finish. Personally, I find the glossy black finish looks cheap! Besides the ugly look, I find the glossy trim very annoying when what I really want to do is to watch what's on TV, but I keep seeing this reflective trim in the corner of my eyes. My eyes can't focus on the screen because the glossy trim is too distracting! When there's something moving behind you, you'll see it on the trim too....this glossy trim is nothing but a distraction. Oh....very disappointed in Sony to say the least.
