I also have the playstation 3 hook to it and the blueray is out of this world movies look so different you can even see the pores of the people even playing a non blueray disk just the regular DVD's its worth the price I'm a happy camper. =)

You can probably find cheaper, BUT! AS is said "Cant go wrong, features, design for the $$" Get plenty of value in what you pay for. To understand how I ended up with this set in my Theater room, A/V roon, "Man Cave" take your pick. You need to read my review on the KDL-52V5100. But to boil it down, I get my Signal off air and had a tuner box that provided Dolby 5.1 sound to my theater receiver and the old TV and the "V" isnt capable. For $200 more, not only did I get the proper amp for my 5.1, The KDL-52Z5100 also has the internet functions. The TV Guide is AWESOME!, It provides full show descriptions, you can program it to recommend shows based on your preferences, plus a few more features I need to play with more. If you want to stream Netflix you will need to watch your connection speed. I have Basic AT&T DSL and it's not fast enough. The weather app is Kinda cool, you can place small snipit's on the screen to show current conditions. Local or almost any city in the world. Wish it could do radar. Slacker Radio gets a thumbs up. Also stock tickers, You Tube, and others I havent played with yet. Most are probably useless fluff, But I'm hoping with time that there will be more to use. Some design features I like over the "V" is the cabinet is approx. .75" smaller all around. And the thickness was reduced by about 3.0" Which equates to approx 10 lbs lighter. Sony also made the side inputs further in to help hide cables you may plug in. The picture Is awesome, cant believe the clarity. Don't really notice the difference in the 240 hz from the 120 hz of the "V". However I place a 10 year life span on my TV's and I think that maybe along with internet functionality that the 240 hz may be better utilized in the future. As for the review stating the LED "looks so much better". He says he's had it for 6-12 mos and all he can say is its not LED? Bet he works for Philips . (No I dont work for Sony). If you do your research the LED's arent that different, may be slightly better in a dark room but not enough improvement for the price. IN MY OPINION. Ive had both the KDL-V (120Hz)and KDL-Z-5100 (240 Hz) in my house during the last month and I can tell you, unless your one of those people that is never happy with anything and like to complain alot, You will love the picture on the Z5100. Oh and by the way...The 5.1 ROCKS !!!!! I WILL be "Cranking it up" during the Daytona 500 next year.

Pros: Looks good
Cons: LCD technology, LED is so much better
This looks like a nice TV but for now that I've owned it for a while the performance and picture quality is really average compared to others on the market. Other companies now offer LED TV which kills this. If you ask me I should have bought a Philips TV over this one - you can't beat the picture quality. Don't do it!
