Intelligent Auto Mode:

Face Detection technology:
Face Detection technology detects up to eight individual faces and controls flash, focus, exposure, and white balance to deliver accurate, natural skin tones with reduced red-eye. It can also give priority to children or adults. Newly added Face Motion Detection adjusts ISO sensitivity and accelerates the shutter speed when facial movement is detected, reducing blur in the subjects face.
Double Anti-blur Solution:
The combination of Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization and High ISO sensitivity helps compensate for camera shake, minimizes blur, and allows flash-free shooting to preserve the mood.
Dynamic Range Optimizer Standard and Plus:
Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) Standard and Plus uses a sophisticated algorithm to determine the best exposure and contrast settings for almost any shooting environment. The result is more natural images with clearer details that more closely match what your naked eye sees. DRO is particularly effective when shooting backlit portraits or any scene with a dramatic contrast between background and foreground lighting. DRO Plus allows for even greater optimization by analyzing each region of an image and performing additional image processing.
9-Point Auto Focus:
Because an off-centered subject can make your shot more interesting, a 9-point auto focus system measures nine precision focus points, giving you greater creative freedom to compose your images.
Easy Shooting Mode:
With Easy Shooting Mode, even beginners can take great photos. In Easy Shooting Mode, easy-to-understand basic instructions are displayed on the LCD screen and the camera switches to all automatic settings with iSCN so you can just take the photo without worrying about settings.
Stamina® Battery Power:

Intelligent Scene Recognition:
Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects eight different types of scenes and, within just 1/30th of a second, selects the appropriate camera settings: Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a Tripod, Portrait, Landscape, and Macro. iSCN has two modes: Auto and Advanced. In Auto Mode, the camera takes a single shot using the optimal settings. In Advance Mode, the camera takes a photo with the standard automatic settings and, if in difficult lighting (low light or back light) immediately takes a second photo with optimized setting so you can chose which to keep.
Smile Shutter™ Technology:
The popular Smile Shutter™ technology automatically detects and captures a smiling face. Simply activate by pressing the Smile Shutter button and the camera will capture a smile the moment it happens. You can also select subject priority (Adult or Child Priority or touch subject on screen) and indicate the degree of Smile Detection Sensitivity to high (small smile), medium (laugh) or low (grin). Smile Shutter also makes a great substitute for the self timer. Just smile once everyone is ready, and the camera will automatically capture the shot.
High Sensitivity Mode (ISO 3200):
High ISO allows for faster shutter speed, so you can take photos indoors or in low light without the need for a flash. In addition to High Sensitivity Mode (ISO), you can select up to eight ISO settings (Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200) when shooting in Program Auto Mode to adjust sensitivity to your shooting conditions.
Convenient Photo Modes:
Choose from 14 convenient photo modes to quickly adjust for specific shooting conditions. Anti-blink Function:
It's frustrating to think you've captured that perfect shot, only to review it later and discover one of your subjects blinked just as you pressed the shutter. The new Anti-blink function works to help counter blinking and squinting. When the camera is set to Soft Snap, the Anti-blink function captures two images, recording only the photo with less squinting. If a blink is detected in other shooting modes, a warning will be displayed after you take the shot.
Optical SteadyShot™ Image Stabilization:
Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization uses a built-in gyro sensor to detect camera shake and automatically shifts the lens to help prevent blur without sacrificing image quality.
Red-eye Correction:
Reduces common red-eye problems.
Burst Mode:
You can fire up to 100 shots at approximately 0.57 second intervals (at any resolution; VGA to high resolution mode). Results may vary based on settings and Memory Stick™ media being used.
16:9 High Resolution Mode:

THIS CAMERA IS PHENOMENAL!!!
Pros: sleek, compact, fun to use, great pictures & videos, & touch screen is amazing

I just got this camera and I absolutely LOVE it!!! It is very small and sleek and looks cool, but it is also very functional and practical. I love the cover that protects the lens and also turns the camera on and off. The touch screen is better than all the other gadgets I have that have touch screens. The auto setting is incredibly accurate!!! It changes depending on what you point it at. If you point it a person it changes to portrait and puts a focus box around their face. If you point it outside it will change to landscape and also change depending on the lighting, and it gets it right every time!!! The pictures are very clear and vivid. The videos have better quality and clarity than the video camera that I have, and the audio is incredible. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a compact digital camera. It is a little pricey as far as compact digital cameras go, but the quality is more than worth it! My friend as the Nikon camera that has a touch screen and his is so cheap and dinky compared to this one, and the screen is not very functional. Make sure you order a memory stick duo because the internal memory only holds 2 pictures.

battery issues
Pros: nice looking
Cons: design flaw
upon slipping this camera in the case the screen powers up,(this is with the lens cover closed )when you lift the camera fron the case screen turns off, thus when you go to use the camera it is either dead or very low on charge we sent it in sony said there was nothing wrong , went to bestbuy tried thier floor model guess what same problem, I don't recommend buying this camera until they fix the obvious flaw

VERY POOR BATTERY!
Pros: Design & Display
Cons: Inadequate Battery, cannot charge in cradle and A/C cord is not provided
I just replaced an older CASIO EXILIM camera that had served be well for the past 5 years. Loved everything about it but the display was not readable in the sunlight. The SONY specs. looked great plus providing a brighter high defination display and 12 mega pixels. As you will read from others the battery does not come anywhere close to the performance expected. The CASIO would run for days in comparison, but this battery was going out in two hours during my initial learning process. I am sorry I did not see these reviews before I purchased

Poor Battery
Pros: Excellent picture quality
Cons: Battery flat out sucks
After carefull review of this camera I was impressed of how well it takes close up shots. However I was only able to take 20 pictures before the battery was almost completely dead. I followed sonys instructions to a tee on charging the battery out of the box but man that battery really does suck. takes over 2 hours to charge lasts about 20 pics or about 5 minutes. Sony has a great camera and does take excellent pics but battery was overlooked here.

Great family snapper
Pros: Easy to use

This is a great little camera for taking snaps. The family can all use it including my 7 year old! Wish the battery would last a little longer, then we could use it for a full day trip and get to review all the snaps!

Battery time
Cons: Battery time is too short
I've tried to use T900, the used time is too short, although it is a fast response digital camera. I need to purchase extra battery for space use.

Great picture but poor battery life
Pros: Great picture!
Cons: poor battery life
Great camera. My family loved it. You can play with it. Touch screen user friendly. Poor battery life, unlike our old sony camera. It will be very great if battery runs longer. ... Would highly recommend it. =.)

- Four preset music tracks stored in internal memory. Imported music tracks can be up to five minutes long. When using Music Transfer to download music, tracks longer than five minutes will be reduced to five minutes when uploading to the Cyber-shot® camera.
- Requires Windows 2000 Professional SP4, Windows XP SP2, or Windows Vista. Not supported by Mac OS.
