The panorama feature is great, it'a good camera to take pictures at nigth (I own a DSC-W90 and you can tell the difference in the pictures) you only change some setting and you can take some nice pictures even with movement. The touch screen and menus are easy to manipulate. This camera takes 10 pictures per second in Burst mode and all the pictures look nice and clear (nice feature). The camera is thin and small it will fit any pocket. You can also write over the pictures, insert animations (hearts, stars, flowers crowns etc.) add frames, crop, fix red eye pictures with the build in editing tool The only thing I don't like about this camera is it doen't take pictures in Black & White or Sephia, I can not believe SONY forgot to put this feature in the camera.

For what it is, it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well! For capturing those special moments or just every day activity, it's the perfect pocket shooter! I've shot multiple pictures in low light, incandescent lighting and out door shots and it handles well. I've never been very fond of automatic settings. I feel that it's always best to do a pre-set up of the camera according to the environment, but the intelligent auto option is a handy quick shooting option. I'm not a professional photographer, just an enthusiast and this camera met my expectations. And Sony is always the all-around company to turn to when it comes to electronics. If you want a company that is more specialized in digital cameras I would recommend checking out Nikon or Canon, but I bought this because it met my needs. I needed a stylish, compact camera that will handle well in most situations which other companies didn't offer. The only set-back in my opinion that is keeping this from being my perfect pocket shooter is that it is not an OLED touch screen. This is supposed to be Sony's latest, up-to-date, high-tech digital camera. Having an OLED touch screen could perhaps reduce this sexy beast's appetite for batteries!

THIS IS MY NINTH DIGITAL CAMERA. I HAVE TWO OTHER POINT AND SHOOTS AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE. TEN PICS A SECOND BURST IS JUST AMAZING. BATTERY LIFE IS SHORTER THAN I WOULD LIKE, BUT NOT TOO SHORT FOR A CAMERA THIS SLIM. PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT THERE IS A DEFINATE WOW FACTOR WHEN PEOPLE SEE IT AND PLAY WITH ITS MANY FEATURES ON THE GREAT TOUCH SCREEN. ALL AND ALL A VERY NICELY PUT TOGETHER CAMERA. AS FOR THE GUY WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS, HE MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE UNIT, WHICH I DOUBT, OR JUST GOT A BAD MEMORY CARD WHICH IS PROBALY THE CASE.

Stylish Slim Design
Measuring at just 3 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 21/32", the DSC-TX1 is slim enough to slip into a pocket or purse, so you can take it with you wherever you go.
Handheld Twilight
Capture cleaner and sharper night shots without using a tripod. When set to Handheld Twilight Mode, the DSC-TX1 captures six images in a fraction of a second with one press of the shutter, and combines the data from all six to create a single image of extraordinary detail and low noise. With these modes, you can capture images in low light, without flash, beyond the capability of traditional cameras.6
High speed shooting
The DSC-TX1 can capture full 10.2 megapixel resolution images at up to 10 fps, helping to ensure that you capture the decisive moment such as the soccer ball flying into the goal. In addition, the DSC-TX1 employs a mechanical shutter that helps reduce distortion when continuously shooting moving subjects.
Creative painting tools

Smile Shutter™ technology
Smile Shutter™ technology captures a smile the moment it happens. Simply press the Smile Shutter™ button and the camera does the rest. You can also select adult and child priority and indicate the degree of Smile Detection Sensitivity. Intelligent Scene Recognition can now be used together with Smile Shutter™ when the Intelligent Auto mode is on. Pet mode
Pet-mode minimizes blur when shooting moving pets utilizing Motion Detection technology and automatically turns off the flash to reduce glowing pet eyes. AF illumination is also disabled so you can take more natural expressions avoiding startling your pets.

BIONZ™ Image Processor
The BIONZ™ image processor delivers the high resolution and fast performance you expect from a Sony® Cyber-shotTM digital camera. Fast processing enables Sweep Panorama Mode to create the wide panoramic image in the camera in just seconds, clear images in low light settings, even without a flash, and can layer one image over another to create a photo that looks just like what you see with your eyes.
Sweep Panorama mode
Reach beyond the traditional wide angle lens, and capture more breathtaking shots with Sweep Panorama Mode. Simply press the shutter button and sweep the camera in the desired direction and the camera continuously shoots at a high speed, then seamlessly stitches the images together with automatic position adjustment to create one stunning panoramic image. Available in wide and ultra-wide options, the camera can take panoramic shots of up to 185 degrees. Now capturing wide landscapes is as easy as press and sweep.
Easy Touch Screen Interaction
The DSC-TX1 now offers intuitive additions to the multi-purpose touch screen, such as the ability to select the focus point with a simple touch, scroll through images by sliding your finger across the screen and one-touch access to the MENU. The display also features improved readability with list view, index view as well as new colored icons.
High Sensitivity Mode (ISO 3200)
High ISO allows for faster shutter speed, so you can take photos indoors or in low light without the need for a flash. In addition to High Sensitivity Mode (ISO), you can select up to seven ISO settings (Auto, 125, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200) when shooting in Program Auto Mode to adjust sensitivity to your shooting conditions.
Intelligent AF
Thanks to Intelligent AF technology, capture fleeting moments like a child’s adorable expression with the ultra-quick AF which locks focus in as little as 0.3-sec.
Face Detection technology
Sony’s improved Face Detection technology can automatically distinguish between children and adults. Face Detection technology detects up to eight individual faces and adjusts focus, exposure, and white balance to help deliver crisp, properly lit images of family and friends. Newly added Face Motion Detection adjusts ISO sensitivity and accelerates the shutter speed when facial movement is detected, reducing blur in the subjects face.
Easy Shooting Mode
With Easy Shooting Mode, even beginners can take great photos. In Easy Shooting Mode, easy-to-understand basic instructions are displayed on the LCD screen and the camera switches to all automatic settings, removing several function choices and allowing you to focus on just your subject. Since this mode works together with Intelligent Scene Recognition, the camera selects the optimum setting for each scene. In addition the easy mode simplifies preview mode.
Wide zoom display
To use the entire image area of your compatible HDTV screen (sold separately), Wide Zoom display automatically expands standard 4:3 and 3:2 images to 16:9.

Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization uses a built-in gyro sensor to detect camera shake and automatically shifts the lens to help prevent blur without sacrificing image quality.
Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode
Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects nine different types of scenes and, within just 1/30th of a second, selects the appropriate camera settings: Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a tripod, Portrait, Landscape, Macro, and Close Focus. iSCN has two modes: Auto and Advanced. In Auto Mode, the camera takes a single shot using the optimal settings. In Advanced Mode, the camera takes a photo with the optimal settings and, if in difficult lighting (low light or back light) immediately takes a second photo with another optimized setting so you can choose which to keep.

Dynamic Range Optimizer Standard and Plus
Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) Standard and Plus uses a sophisticated algorithm to help recover shadows and highlights. I'm satisfied with my new camera
Pros: Small, fast, Nice featueres
Cons: Nor Sephia nor B&W pictures / Short battery life
The panorama feature is great, it'a good camera to take pictures at nigth (I own a DSC-W90 and you can tell the difference in the pictures) you only change some setting and you can take some nice pictures even with movement. The touch screen and menus are easy to manipulate. This camera takes 10 pictures per second in Burst mode and all the pictures look nice and clear (nice feature). The camera is thin and small it will fit any pocket. You can also write over the pictures, insert animations (hearts, stars, flowers crowns etc.) add frames, crop, fix red eye pictures with the build in editing tool The only thing I don't like about this camera is it doen't take pictures in Black & White or Sephia, I can not believe SONY forgot to put this feature in the camera.

Sexy shooter!
Pros: Ultra slim, stylish
Cons: No OLED touch screen, battery life/consumption
For what it is, it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well! For capturing those special moments or just every day activity, it's the perfect pocket shooter! I've shot multiple pictures in low light, incandescent lighting and out door shots and it handles well. I've never been very fond of automatic settings. I feel that it's always best to do a pre-set up of the camera according to the environment, but the intelligent auto option is a handy quick shooting option. I'm not a professional photographer, just an enthusiast and this camera met my expectations. And Sony is always the all-around company to turn to when it comes to electronics. If you want a company that is more specialized in digital cameras I would recommend checking out Nikon or Canon, but I bought this because it met my needs. I needed a stylish, compact camera that will handle well in most situations which other companies didn't offer. The only set-back in my opinion that is keeping this from being my perfect pocket shooter is that it is not an OLED touch screen. This is supposed to be Sony's latest, up-to-date, high-tech digital camera. Having an OLED touch screen could perhaps reduce this sexy beast's appetite for batteries!

9TH DIGITAL - DEFINATE WOW FACTOR
Pros: FAST SET UP IN BETWEEN PICS, PANORAMA, DESIGN, BURST MODE. PERFECT TOUCH SCREEN, EVERYTHING!!! (but the cons)

THIS IS MY NINTH DIGITAL CAMERA. I HAVE TWO OTHER POINT AND SHOOTS AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE. TEN PICS A SECOND BURST IS JUST AMAZING. BATTERY LIFE IS SHORTER THAN I WOULD LIKE, BUT NOT TOO SHORT FOR A CAMERA THIS SLIM. PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT THERE IS A DEFINATE WOW FACTOR WHEN PEOPLE SEE IT AND PLAY WITH ITS MANY FEATURES ON THE GREAT TOUCH SCREEN. ALL AND ALL A VERY NICELY PUT TOGETHER CAMERA. AS FOR THE GUY WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS, HE MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE UNIT, WHICH I DOUBT, OR JUST GOT A BAD MEMORY CARD WHICH IS PROBALY THE CASE.

Very nice!
Pros: Excellent quality
Cons: Very small, use wrist strap at all times.
I had my beautiful blue camera engraved available at Sony.. I understand there is no return policy in effect. I won;'t have to be concerned because I am not returning this tiem. I hope I don;t get a letter saying they want it back. For my camera criteria, I am very satisfied. I am impressed by all the accessories available, like the party machine and underwater box. I first ordered a camera like this on EBay, but was ripped off. I was reimbursed, but alot of time wasted. I decided to pay full price at Sony and have peace of mind that my business is their first priortty. I mentioned that using the wrist strap at all times is advised by my close call.. This camera is so small, yet the most powerful one I have seen.

Sony Da Best
Pros: Hand Made in Japan
Cons: Smaller camera means smaller battery, (ok battery life)
"Really Good photos. The auto mode does a really good job but still is subject to some graininess on your photos every now and then (just take another picture). The camera is not hard to use but if your not familiar with touchscreen it might take some time getting use to but then again that just like every electronic device that we buy. The features on this camera really make it shine. Panoramic mode is the easiest i have ever seen on a camera, takes 10 frames a second (takes a few seconds to save the photos), and HD video mode is really clear. Now about the HD video. Your going to need either the Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo Mack 2 cards or the SanDisk High Speed Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. The regular SanDisk cards really make the HD Video choppy because they cant handle the data transfer of the video when their is movement. All in all its a great camera, with good features, feel durable, good video quality, and reliable."

I JUST RETURNED THIS AFTER USING IT FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, I WANTED IT MAINLY FOR PICTURES, NOT VIDEO. UNFORTUNATELY, ITS GOOD QUALITY FOR VIDEO, BUT FOR PICS, FORGET IT... I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH MY CANNON..VERY DISSAPOINTED, AND FOR THIS PRICE?? SHAME ON YOU SONY

I would buy this again in a heart beat.
Pros: Turns on FAST. touch screen works great. Pictures and video are great.
Cons: battery could last a bit longer. I am going to buy a spare for long trips.
I took a chance on this camera after reading a couple less than stellar reviews on it. The touch screen works great for me and out of 1000 pics taken on a trip to Mexico i would say about 10 came out a bit blurry. Most action shots came out great. This thing turns on sooo fast and is ready to take great quick photos. I would buy this over in a second. Go to Best Buy and have them price match to get the best price and great support.

FANTASTIC
