I picked this up from the Sony Style store in Beachwood OH. It was to big to take home myself so I got the White Glove delivery. It arrived in 4 days and was unpacked and put in its new home. I have an extensive DVD collection (1400+), and a growing Bluray collection (300 so far). It is an attactive and very functional unit. It does take a minute to load the Bluray disc, it can become rather annoying actually. It is worth the wait once it begins to play. The Xbar is perfect for selecting the media you want to play. It's easy to navigate and simple to understand. My 7yr old daughter can do it by herself. The only thing that I would like to see is the ability to customize the Xbar like you can on the PS3. I have a great intro on my HTPC that welcomes people to my theater and it would be nice to have that feature on the server as well. It might be there if keep looking I might find it. Have paitence with this server at first though. Once connected to the internet let it be so it can get all the info for you disc's. It will find it and apply it alot faster than you or I can so be greatfull that we don't need to. The finish and EL are beautifull. But why give me a screw and security strap? It weighs 150lbs. I don't think it's going to tip. Annother good thing is they include a 3m HDMI cable. I could go on for days about how much I love this server but I have to get back to the store and get second one. The first is already filled.

Pros: It looks pretty.
Cons: Slow, cumbersome to use, does not live up to hype.

So far, I haven't experienced functional value for the high cost of the product. Maybe I need to work with the product more but the instruction manual is very poor. There should be an on-line tutorial or a training CD. The concept for this product is good; it was just poorly executed. For example, for the cost of the product one expects that it would contain a simple antenna/cable input and tuner to record TV programs.
