Cons: Gives no protection.

Though attractive, the cover is difficult for dry hands to grip. When it falls even a little distance, the Reader flies out and is unprotected. This cover should sell for one-third the price I paid and not a penny more. For any price the cover should have a lanyard, better means of holding the Reader and a means to indelibly hold something to identify the owner. At this extraordinary price, these shortcomings are poor, indeed but you must have something to protect your Reader.

Cons: The light screen makes the text fuzzy and hard to read.

I love my Sony reader but the book light is not worth the money. The light screen has a "haze" to it that makes the text fuzzy. If the screen were smooth like glass it would much easier to read. I'm taking my back to the store where I got it. I think Sony needs to redesign the light. Also, I would have more than 2 settings.

I'm constantly reading and find this cover to be perfect and a necessary accessory to the 505. Love the design and its functionality. Definitely worth it.

I am so glad you created this cover! Now my book reader is perfect! I had purchased a similar light that you lay over the reader but I had to hold it in place and it was quite cumbersome and covered the whole face of the reader. This one lights up my whole page and doesn't bother anyone around me AND I can access all my buttons. The cover is a very nice quality. As mentioned by others, the light cover does not fold 180 degrees, but I don't have any trouble reading through it with the light off. The cover itself folds back behind the book easily. It is heavier than the cover that came with the reader, but that's to be expected, considering you've added batteries and a lighted glass. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and now my Sony Reader is perfect!

Works Well with a few complaints

Cons: Smudges easily, doesn't fold back, cast a light shadow near the left edge

I'm not sure what the other reviewer is doing wrong as the light is perfect for viewing. I also enjoy that the light does not keep my husband awake at night. However the light cover does smudge easily, does not fold back, and casts a shadow on the left edge of the book. Overall I'm very glad I purchased it! I just wish it would have come with the 505.

Pros: good to read at night in bed and in the car.

Cons: scratchs make it hard to read.

The light part scratch a little upon delivery. then scratch more from carring it around. It should come was a protect film that could be place over it. Also would be nice if sony would sell a replacement part for the light not cover since it can be remove easily from cover. I love the light at night to read in in bed and also in the car. It does not bother my husband.
