Great Camera With A Glitch
Pros: Just About Everything

This camera is great. Ive been able to take some great photos with it, and I really dont have much to complain about, except for a few things. One, when I try to take a good night shot there isnt much flexibility in what I can do with the settings, and also just lately my camera decided that out of the blue it wasnt going to focus, and when I turn it off, it wont come back on. It sounds as if the lens is out of place or something, but it just happens out of nowhere.

This is a wonderful camera. It does everything for a Point & Shoot. The Smile Technology is a great idea, yet it does not work as advertised. The little flaw in the smile deal is in no way hinder the camera's smooth and high quality result.

The best way to describe the images that come from this camera are like a Monet painting; from far away they are beautiful, but up close they're a MESS. Images are grainy, pixelated, with bizarre blurred edges. I was highly, highly disappointed and will be returning it.

Sony Double Anti-Blur Solution
The combination of Super SteadyShot® optical image stabilization and high ISO sensitivity helps compensate for shaky hands, minimizes blur, and allow flash-free shooting to preserve the mood.
Intelligent Scene Recognition Mode
Intelligent Scene Recognition mode automatically detects 5 different types of scenes and selects the appropriate camera setting: Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a Tripod. Intelligent Scene Recognition has two different modes, advanced and auto. In Advanced mode, if the camera detects the particular scene, it will take one more picture. In Auto mode takes a single shot, arbitrarily deciding on the proper setting.
MPEG Movie VX Fine Mode
Capture VGA (640 x 480) audio/video clips at a high frame rate (up to 30 frames per second7). The maximum length of time you can shoot continuously is about 10 minutes.

Photo Music
Expanding the HD Slide Show with Music feature, PHOTOMUSIC combines images with music to produce fun and entertaining slide shows. - Viewable area; measured diagonally.
- Available storage capacity may vary and a portion of the memory is used for data management functions.
- HD viewing requires a Sony HD connector cable or HD Cyber-shot Station® cradle and HDTV. All sold separately.
- Music tracks can be up to five minutes long. When using Music Transfer to download music, tracks longer than five minutes will be reduced to five minutes when uploading to the Cyber-shot.
- Smart Zoom® feature will not work at highest resolution setting.
- Up to 6 shots while in Smile Shutter mode.
- Shooting at high frame rate of up to 30 frames per second requires Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media.
- Special TV settings are required. Further details are available in the BRAVIA® instruction manual.
